4" Thick Hot Tub Cover

Spa Guy's replacement hot tub covers are manufactured with a 4 inch to 2 inch taper to allow for rain water to run off. Without a proper slope on a cover water will pool in the center eventually causing the cover to bow and break. Many manufactures offer only flat covers which quickly start pooling water in the center.

The higher the R-Value, the greater the insulation effectiveness. R-Value is determined by the type of material, thickness and density. When Selecting a spa cover, take note of the weather conditions for your location. The colder the climate the thicker the cover should be. Our two pound density hot tub covers will give you the highest insulation rating equating to lower energy costs.

Our 4 inch thick replacement hot tub covers has an R-Value of 20, one of the highest available insulating values on a replacement spa cover.

Spa Hyde® is a type of vinyl that has been specially formulated for use in the spa industry to build hot tub covers. Unlike materials that have been borrowed from other industries Spa Hyde® has been designed for use in the harsh environment around a spa. Spa Hyde® is chlorine, bromine and ozone resistant. Mold and mildew resistance are built in as well.

The skin of a Spa Guy cover is constructed with 28 oz. Spa Hyde®. Spa Hyde's resistance to extreme cold, heat and Ultra-Violet Radiation make it more durable, longer lasting and virtually maintenance free.

Every hot tub cover Spa Guy builds is upgraded to 2 pound high density inserts. 2 Pound density inserts are stronger, have a higher R Value, and absorb less water than covers built out of 1 or 1.5 pound density foam.

Foam density refers to the weight per cubic foot of the insulation material. Our expanded polystyrene foam cores are made out of 100% virgin beads and heat sealed in a 4 mill plastic vapor barrier. Since the beads that make up the foam core are packed closer together their is less space for water to be be absorbed. The high quality materials we start with guarantee the cover you order from us will last.

For added strength our replacement spa cover's foam inserts are reinforced with an aluminum C-Channel. Lightweight yet strong the aluminum C-Channel will not rust like other materials. Even in the harsh humid environment inside under the spa cover our Aluminum C-Channel will outlast even galvanized steel by years.

Manual Safety Cover

All of Spa Guy's bi-fold hot tub covers are classified by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc as manual safety covers in accordance with ASTM F 1346-91 95sJ. Covers meeting the ASTM requirements as manual safety covers must be able to pass strict test for weight support, perimeter deflection and surface drainage. Only covers that are listed by UL will pass local building codes.

Protecting the foam inserts from moisture is an important to build a long lasting spa cover. The foam cores in a Spa Guy replacement hot tub cover is sealed in a 4 mill vapor barrier. We use a cutting-edge machine and material to to seal and shrink the vapor barrier to the foam inserts.

Handles and straps are all double "X" stitched with ozone and chemical resistant thread. The added strength from this stitching helps prevent one of the most common causes of cover failure.

All of our covers come with four lockable tie down straps, keys and replacement mounting hardware. Keep your cover where it belongs in high wind situations and keep unwanted guests out.

Every Spa Guy hot tub cover is built with overstuffed heat seals at the fold. These "steam stoppers" prevent heat from escaping from the spa cover out the ends of the fold.

Spa Guy replacement hot tub covers feature a 3 inch skirt to protect the acrylic lip of your spa. The skirt is continuous around the corners of the spa and extends over the hinge area to protect the spa lip there as well.
